CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

Irresistibly drawn to CranioSacral Therapy (CST) along the way, as part of my own healing from illness, I made it the core of my work for over 10 years.  I studied CranioSacral Therapy with Dr John Upledger, D.O., O.M.M., and through the Upledger Institute, and took further studies with Dr John Beaulieu, N.D., PH.D.  My work has taken me to many locations around the world and I participate as a therapist in CST retreats in America and Europe.

Think of your nervous system as your computer – sometimes you need to re-boot to reset the system.  CST is a very gentle, hands-on method of doing just that for your body.  It encourages your body’s own natural healing to help counter the effects of stress and dis-ease, with the additional benefit of better overall health.  Many people believe that healing has to be painful – CST helps to change this belief. CST respects the uniqueness of the individual and the body’s innate wisdom, leading to a balance of mind, body and spirit.

The craniosacral system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.  It extends from the head (cranium) to the tail-bone (sacrum) area.  This vital system influences the performance of the brain and spinal cord.  An imbalance or restriction in the system can cause any number of sensory, motor or neurological disabilities.

The benefits can be substantial as CST strengthens your body’s ability to take care of you.  It can help alleviate:

Migraines
Chronic Head and Back Pain
Stress and Tension-Related problems
Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
Chronic Fatigue
Scoliosis
TMJ
Learning Disabilities
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

and many other conditions……….

The atmosphere of a session is quiet and soothing.  You remain fully clothed as a light touch and delicate manual techniques are used to release problem areas.  Sessions last from 1 to 11/2 hours.
